Do You Know Kaggia?
Self -taught animator, Andrew Kaggia has made some great strides in his home country , Kenya.
From releasing Kenya’s first 3D video game, Nairobi X to producing the animated film Waguezi: Battle and making Forbes 40 under 40.
Now, after announcing its development in 2021, Kaggia has gone on to produce a CGI animated superhero film, Terastorm.
Look Out For TERASTORM
When an ancient wizard threatens to destroy the earth, a group of elite African heroes must unite and attempt to vanquish him.

Written and directed by Andrew Kaggia, Terastorm is produced entirely in Kenya. The film features the voice talents of Arabron Nyyneque, Ali Mwangola, Mevlin Alusa, Sara Muhoho, Marryianne Nungo, Peter Mudamba, Mungai Kiroga.
The film is schedule for release in 2022.

Mills Media Telling African Stories in Modern Ways
Driven by a passion to for African culture, history and heritage, Ghana- based creative agency, Mills Media created a video game and comic book character that would explore these very things.
Titled, Asetentawa: Battle for the Golden Stool, is a modern retelling about warrior queen-mother, Asantewaa who led her people in a fight against the British to protect the pride of the Ashanti Kingdom, the golden stool.
The game is available on mobile and PC. But Mills Media have teased that a game is not all this story will be.
Mills Media Teases Asantewaa Animated Series
Set in 20th Century in the Ashanti kingdom, Asantewaa is an animated series that will retell the story of queen Nana Yaa Asantewaa who led her kingdom in a fight against British Colonialism.
The series will relieve the historical moments within her tale.

Netflix Acquires Animation Studio and VFX Producer Behind The Matrix
Streaming platform, Netflix has announced the purchase of independent Australian animation studio, Animal Logic.
Animal Logic is renowned for its work on films such as The Matrix, The Great Gatsby, Happy Feet and Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole.
Netflix has expressed that the acquisition will see the Animal Logic and Netflix Animation team creating a global production team and animation studio to produce the streaming platform’s largest animated titles.
Whilst details on the terms have not been shared, it has been announced that the deal will be closed at the end of the year.
